Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution and one year of related professional experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a college, university, student center, union, or conference center setting.
- Maintain responsibility for the management and administration of Jag Card student identification office operations, including management and maintenance of IF system and supervision of student staff.
- Oversee recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development of Jag Card student employees.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the digital media efforts for the Student Center, managing all social media and website content, ensuring they are up-to-date, user‑friendly, and functional.
- Manage digital signage, radio, security cameras, and access control systems for the Student Center.
- Assess and evaluate programs and services under one’s responsibility and initiate improvements as appropriate.
- Assist the Assistant Director to ensure the Student Center offers a high level of customer service, student development, staff supervision, event management, and skilled and proactive technical support.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the EMA (Event Management Software) used for scheduling reservation requests.
- Assist with assessment of plan and policy updates for the Student Center.
- Serve as co‑chair for the Student Center Advisory Board, along with the Assistant Director, and assist in coordinating board meetings and agendas.
- Act as a designated safety and emergency response personnel for the Student Center building.
- Attend Student Center user events as needed.
- Manage notifications of violations of the University solicitation policy as outlined in the student handbook.
- Provide assistance with the daily management of the Student Center facility.
- Assist with ongoing in‑service training, leadership workshops, and staff retreats.
- Represent the Student Center on university committees as assigned.
- Maintain active involvement in professional associations such as NACCU and ACUI to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
- Ensure departmental compliance with university policies and local, state, and federal laws.
- Partner with colleagues across the university to enhance the overall student experience, prioritizing student development and growth.
- Perform all functions and responsibilities of a Campus Security Authority, as defined by the Clery Act.
- Maintain regular and prompt attendance.
- Work scheduled hours as defined and additional hours as required.
- Perform related duties as required.
