Project Manager – Custom Cabinetry Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to oversee custom cabinetry projects from post-sale through final delivery. This role serves as the central point of communication between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager coordinates multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical understanding, problem-solving, and strong customer service skills.
Travel may be required as needed.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned projects from order acceptance to final delivery and punch-out.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, coordinating internal and external milestones.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and ensure smooth transfer of information from sales and design teams.
- Monitor progress, proactively identifying and resolving delays, conflicts, or issues.
- Review drawings and specifications to confirm project scope and feasibility.
- Coordinate with engineering and drafting teams to ensure drawings are production-ready.
- Track procurement timelines and material lead times to avoid delays.
- Communicate updates with clients, contractors, and field personnel.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, change orders, and approvals.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring completion at or under budget.
- Participate in site visits, punch list walk-throughs, and project closeouts.
- Assist with quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet all specifications and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, Building Science, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of project management experience in cabinetry, millwork, construction, or related trades.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
