Group Leader - Analytical Development
Position Summary:
- Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
- 100% on-site
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee analytical method development, optimization, and transfer for cell line, upstream, and downstream processes. The role requires maintaining rigorous GMP laboratory standards, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support regulatory filings and develop product comparability studies.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily team operations, including workload management, training, and technical guidance.
- Hire, train, motivate, develop, and evaluate staff to foster a high‑performance culture.
- Ensure clear communication and adherence to detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Take timely corrective actions in alignment with company policies.
- Foster cross‑functional collaboration across Project Management, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and partner with HR as needed.
- Oversee maintenance of laboratories, equipment, and EHS standards, including 5S, calibration, and troubleshooting support.
- Deliver high‑quality results on time while maintaining data integrity and meeting project milestones.
- Interface with clients, lead responses to inquiries, and oversee development of reports, presentations, and batch records.
- Provide subject matter expertise, drive document standardization, continuous improvement, and business strategy support while coaching team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- PhD in Biotechnology or related field with minimum 2 years of laboratory leadership experience; OR
- M.S./M.A. in Biotechnology or related field with minimum 5 years of laboratory leadership experience; OR
- B.S./B.A. in Biotechnology or related field with minimum 8 years of laboratory leadership experience.
- Direct experience in analytical method development and leading teams in platforms such as SDS‑PAGE, ELISA, U/HPLC, LC‑MS, qPCR, and sequencing.
