The Senior Project Manager (Hydroelectric Dam Maintenance) leads large, complex hydroelectric dam maintenance projects from planning through execution. This hybrid role offers a flexible work location when not at project sites with regular travel to Prairie du Sac and Wisconsin Dells. In this visible leadership role, you will partner with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and regulators to deliver critical infrastructure work that supports safe, reliable energy service.

- Understand and utilize Alliant Energy project management methodologies and processes based on Project Management Institute (PMI) to achieve scope, schedule and cost objectives while managing risks that may affect project deliverables.
- Determine specific business needs and deliverables of a project, using project management tools to establish and manage costs, resources, performance measurements, timelines and technical objectives required to complete the project and meet the expected outcome.
- Determine appropriate project resource and staffing skillsets, including the level of expertise needed to complete a project while assessing strategies to reduce overall project risk.
- Manage applicable project contracts in conjunction with sourcing personnel; ensure work is completed to specifications and on schedule as specified in the contract.
- Develop and execute communication and stakeholder management plans related to projects, including reporting project status, risks and progress to stakeholders in an agreed format, frequency and material content.
- Ensure training needs are met for project team members and users; upon completion, ensure operational teams are properly trained, work orders are closed, all related finance charges are handled, team members are reassigned, documentation is in order and a smooth transition of deliverables occurs.
- Provide support and mentor others in the use of organizational change management methodology and business consulting support as needed within the context of program and project management to aid in the achievement of strategic objectives.
- May be responsible for performing a cost/benefit analysis of the project and ensuring feasibility.
- Engage in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s values and help deliver on our purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, structural or mechanical engineering.
- Certification:
Project Management Professional (PMP) required within 12 months of employment.
- Five years of experience in project management managing medium to large sized, complex projects.
- Experience with FERC regulations, dam maintenance and power generation in a regulated environment.

Competitive compensation and benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, flexible work options, volunteer opportunities, and a $145,000–$160,000 pay range with eligibility for an annual incentive program.
