Bakery Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the bakery team.
• Create a positive, welcoming environment for guests and team members.
• Manage daily bakery operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, scheduling, and order fulfillment.
• Oversee cake production, special orders, deliveries, inventory, and supply ordering.
• Set sales and productivity goals and adjust staffing based on business needs.
• Manage labor, inventory, supplies, and other expenses to maximize profitability.
• Maintain brand, product quality, merchandising, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Complete payroll, reporting, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Build community relationships and represent the brand at local events and partnerships.
• Step into all bakery roles as needed to support the team and business.

• High school diploma/GED required; college education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, food service, or a similar environment.
• Proven ability to hire, train, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable managing schedules, inventory, costs, sales goals, and basic financial information.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; willingness to learn new technology.
• Food safety certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.

Must be flexible to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Starting salary is $52,000 with opportunities for bonuses and advancement!
