Job Description

• Promote safety, prioritizing safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and maintain plant equipment – screen changes, conveyor belt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher liner changes, water pump service, cutting, grinding, and welding as needed.
• Inspect equipment and structures, performing daily inspections and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
• Monitor processes and materials, reviewing the crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
• Document and record information, entering and maintaining service and lubrication reports to keep preventative maintenance current.
• Perform general physical activities such as cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials to support plant operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry preferred.
• Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production preferred.
• Flexibility to work overtime, extended hours, and in all weather conditions, with tolerance for loud noise.
• Mechanical skills, including knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
