** PRIMARY FUNCTION:
** Primarily responsible for cleaning, maintaining, repairing and prepping cages for live haul trailers.
** RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
*** Clean and sanitize live haul trailers and cages.
* Perform all necessary paperwork associated with assigned job (i.e. work orders, charge parts, etc.).
* Inspect and repair cages, adhering to DOT and animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
* Drive various heavy duty equipment pieces safely.
* General housekeeping duties, maintaining neat, clean and orderly work area.
* All other duties as assigned.
**** REQUIRED TECHNICAL

SKILLS:

***** Relative maintenance experience (e.g. cutting, grinding, welding, etc.).
* Basic math functions and skills.
* Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
* Ability to operate yard equipment (e.g. forklift, yard truck, tractor, etc.)
* Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
** PREFERRED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

*** High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Previous cage maintenance experience.
** SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
*** Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
*
* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

*** Stand up to 8 hours.
* Lift up to 60 lbs.
* Frequent exposure to outdoor environment.
* Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling.
* Work around raw, live animal odors.
