Position overview

The primary purpose of this position is the procurement and management of MRO Repair Parts and Services. It includes the management of the MRO Spare Parts Inventory. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities in the parts room. This position routinely interfaces with the maintenance employees about their needs and following up on repairable parts and equipment sent out for repairs.

This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs
• Work with suppliers and vendors to research and procure repair parts, spare parts and services
• Provide quotes to the maintenance team
• Create purchase orders (POs) in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and corporate financial database
• Make sure CMMS BOL for equipment is in the system
• Manage the MRO spare parts inventory database and parts rooms
• Create new inventory items as needed
• Delete obsolescent or excess inventory
• Meet daily with the maintenance staff
• Interface with corporate finance and purchasing
• Assist with the CMMS administration; provide CMMS training as needed
• Run reports, create/use spreadsheets documenting different types of information
• Maintain the master vendor contacts list
• Special projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities for the maintenance department.
• Assist in keeping the spare parts warehouse well organized at all times (shelving, labeling, cleaning).
• Pick parts and/or supplies at vendors’ location when needed.
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or better
• 1-3 Years Buying
• Understanding use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn SAP and become proficient
• Little to no travel for this position
