Production Supervisor

• Effectively manage and direct day-to-day plant production operations
• Maintain safe working conditions and practices toward a zero lost-time-injury record
• Execute work in accordance with QSHE Manual procedures
• Provide leadership and employee training
• Conduct performance appraisals and apply fair, consistent discipline
• Report payroll and employee information to Human Resources
• Coordinate production equipment operating hours and personnel activities to meet customer requirements
• Maintain finished-product inventory control
• Ensure production equipment achieves quality, productivity, and cost objectives
• Drive continuous improvement efforts
• Communicate and follow up on equipment maintenance requests
• Supervise procedures ensuring production inventory accuracy
• Generate production reports on equipment rates, runtime, downtime, availability, and maintenance needs
• Ensure regulatory compliance for process equipment
• Maintain adequate consumable inventory levels
• Work swing shifts as needed to cover vacations and unplanned production situations
• Perform the Manager's duties and attend daily staff meetings during the Manager's absence
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Baccalaureate degree in mining, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, or a commensurate level of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of mineral grinding, crushing, and packaging equipment
• Ability to comprehend industrial manufacturing and solve process-related problems
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• General management skills
• Ability to work effectively with supervisors, department managers, and subordinates
• Familiarity with personal computers and application software, including automatic process control
• Ability to integrate existing methods with new innovations to solve production problems economically and promptly
• Ability to work swing shifts as needed to cover vacations and unplanned production situations
