I'm running a confidential direct-hire search on behalf of an established precision manufacturing company in Tuscaloosa, AL for a Machinist III to run CNC mills and turning centers on complex, high-tolerance parts, including prototype and unproven setups.

• Set up and run CNC milling and turning centers from complex blueprints
• Machine medium to high complexity parts, including unproven and prototype work
• Select cutting tools and work holding for a range of materials and processes
• Hold tight tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments
• Deburr and inspect finished parts against spec
• Log production and process data in the ERP system
• Weigh in on tooling and process improvements alongside engineering

• 6-8+ years of hands-on machining experience
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T comprehension
• Confidence setting up unproven, first-run parts
• Solid math fundamentals, including fractions
• A safety-first, team-first mindset

• $19-$38/hr, pay flexible based on experience
