Responsibilities

Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents aged four through eighteen.

The Registered Nurses provide nursing care to psychiatric patients utilizing an established nursing process. Responsibilities include documentation, nursing groups, program guidelines, medication administration, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment by intervening with disturbed patients, managing admissions and discharges, and using restraint techniques when necessary.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Graduate from an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Diploma graduate and/or associate degree in nursing required
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama
