Responsibilities
Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118 bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, less than 20 miles from both Florida and Georgia. In addition to the living units, the facility houses the New Day Academy;
a state‑supported year‑round K‑12th grade school with vocational opportunities. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.

The Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) will provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process. The LPN is directly responsible to the Nurse Manager, RN House Supervisor, or RN Charge Nurse for quality patient care provided to patients on the units.
QualificationsGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama.
One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification.
Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
