Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery unit specializing in LDRP. Candidates will provide comprehensive care to labor, antepartum, and preterm patients during night shifts, ensuring safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage labor and antepartum patients, including those down to 27 weeks gestation.
• Monitor fetal status using NST and continuous fetal monitoring methods.
• Assist with procedures such as fetal scalp electrode placement, IV starts, and amnioinfusion.
• Support anesthesia during epidural placement and attend cesarean sections without scrubbing in.
• Administer medications, including Magnesium for PIH patients, and provide patient education.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and GE Centricity systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid AL RN license active at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 1 year of RN experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP.
• Have travel experience, preferably in large healthcare facilities.
