Position Title:

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse 13- week contract

Estimated Pay Package: $1900 (stipend included)

Job Description:

The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized care for critically ill patients. This role involves a comprehensive approach to monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and executing complex treatment plans developed by a team of healthcare professionals. ICU RNs also play a pivotal role in stabilizing patients and managing emergency situations, ensuring high levels of patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care based on individualized care plans.
  • Continuously monitor patients' clinical status and respond to changing conditions promptly.
  • Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the unit's quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit or comparable critical care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make complex decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
