Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for providing delegated aspects of direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN demonstrates critical thinking and scientific judgment while ensuring the safe delivery of care in accordance with hospital policies.
- Conduct physical examinations and collect patient data.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient education.
- Administer medications and perform peripheral IV therapy.
- Participate in discharge planning and implement physician's orders.
- Document patient care and maintain clinical competencies.
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Current LPN/LVN license.
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
- IV certification preferred.
- Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility.
