Position Summary
Travel Med Surg LPN (LPN/LVN) holds shift accountability for providing delegated aspects of direct patient care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN/LVN makes decisions based on education, experience, State Board of Nursing Rules and hospital/departmental policy and procedures. Critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership are required to anticipate and plan for safe delivery of care.
The LPN/LVN maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, delegates patient care priorities, and provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Physical examination and data collection
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Patient education
- Medication administration
- Peripheral IV therapy
- Discharge planning
- Implementation of physician’s orders
- Documentation
BLS, NIHSS. IV Certification preferred; permanent address 50+ miles from facility.
Schedule & LocationShift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
