Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy – Days – Rotating Call Required
Position Overview:
As a RN in the Endoscopy department, you will play a vital role in providing high‑quality, patient‑centered diagnostic and therapeutic services. The department uses advanced technology to perform a wide range of procedures, including screening, diagnostic, interventional endoscopy and gastrointestinal and lung procedures, focusing on patient comfort and safety.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Full Time Days Shift – On Call Required
Qualifications- Associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Nursing License.
- Some Endoscopy experience preferred.
- BCLS and ACLS are required.
- PALS and Handle With Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
