Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Dothan, AL | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Block Scheduling May Be Accommodated

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit that also receives Medical Surgical and Telemetry overflow patients
• Manage and administer cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–1:7 in accordance with unit standards
• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and cardiac oversight
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date

• Active Alabama RN license required at time of submission (pending license considered)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical or related setting
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Orthopedic nursing experience or familiarity with Med Surg/Telemetry overflow environments

• Block scheduling may be accommodated, offering greater flexibility and work-life balance
