Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Landscaping
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of grounds/yard surrounding facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS- Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained.
- Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthy.
- Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement, and/or other minor structural repairs etc.
- Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility.
- Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS- Previous experience in landscaping a plus.
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
- Must not have used more than 40 hours of UTO.
- Must not have any disciplinaries in the last 6 months.
- Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
