As the FSQA Manager, you'll be at the helm of food safety and quality assurance initiatives. You’ll develop, implement, and maintain SQF and HACCP programs to ensure the highest standards of food safety and product quality at our state‑of‑the‑art Montgomery facility. Your leadership will drive a culture of excellence in food safety and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Development: Design and implement SQF and HACCP programs to ensure food safety and quality compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee adherence to all federal, state, and local food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records and documentation related to food safety and quality assurance.
- Performance Monitoring: Set and manage goals for food safety and quality metrics, including compliance and incident rates.
- Goal Setting & Budgeting: Collaborate in setting goals and budgeting for food safety and quality initiatives.
- Safety & Quality Oversight: Plan and manage the implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs, including coordinating with internal and external auditors.
- Hygiene Management: Monitor and assess environmental conditions affecting food safety, including chemical exposure, lighting, noise, and sanitation.
- Best Practices: Provide guidance on best practices for identifying and mitigating food safety risks and quality issues.
- Training & Communication: Conduct training sessions, distribute food safety bulletins, and keep employees informed on quality and safety practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest food safety and quality assurance practices and technology to continually enhance the facility’s programs.
- Audit Participation: Work with regulatory agencies and internal teams during audits and inspections; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Facility Inspections: Regularly inspect the facility, interact with employees, and identify potential food safety and quality concerns.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other food safety and quality-related tasks and projects as needed.
- Education & Experience: BS in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in food safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment; experience in food or consumer products is preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Communication & Organizational
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication, excellent organizational skills, and keen attention to detail. - Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, SQF, and HACCP standards.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and implement food safety and quality improvements.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
