DescriptionShift: Day Shift. 6:00am to 6:00pm
Pay Rate: Dependent on Experience
Summary: The Quality Control Technician will perform general duties related to the manufacture and testing of material produced during the assigned shift. The duties will be performed in a safe manner that is in accordance with Sprinturf standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Determine the cause of product defects
- Recommend adjustments to the production process
- Inspect, test, and measure materials
- Use equipment to measure materials
- Document and organize data of products
- Review settings and processes of machinery
Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic math skills
- Willing and caring attitude towards company standards and policies
- Ability to use measuring devices such as scales and gauges
- Documentation and reporting skills
Teamwork and collaboration - Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
Working Conditions:
- The physical requirements for this position include standing or walking constantly during the shift. Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. packages frequently during the shift. The environment is not air‑conditioned. The temperature inside the plant will be hot during the warm months and cooler during the colder months.
