Cashier, Restaurant​/Food Service

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet the customers with “Bienvenidos” and a smile.
• Enter food orders using a cash register POS system.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Accept cash and return the correct change.
• Maintain a well‑stocked salsa bar.
• Keep drink cup lids and napkins before and after shift.
• Clean the dining room and cashier station.
• Maintain beverage fridges stocked and clean.
• Upsell products: sides, drinks, aguas frescas, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and health & safety guidelines.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the MOD (Manager on Duty).

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good math skills.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

Hourly rate = $18/hr. + tips.
