Position: Hallmark Field Merchandiser (part-time) Dothan, AL 36303

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships and representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with other products from additional companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
  • We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
  • Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 10‑18 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
  • Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:

  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Utilize a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for daily work, communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Maintain professional courtesy with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support:
    Additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Join a team responsible for installing and refitting Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision:
    Support other team members in their territories and be part of Hallmark’s field organization network.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Capable of grasping, pulling, lifting, and carrying products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
