As a Bakery Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Bakery and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Be a Team Leader — supervise the team within the Bakery department to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club by communicating goals, executing programs, adhering to policies, and advocating for the member, the associate, and the company.
• Be an Expert — maintain in-depth knowledge of business on the floor and backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality; ensure the Bakery department meets quality, safety, sanitation, and compliance standards; share knowledge and train the team.
• Be a Techie — leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for production and quality decisions.
• Be an Owner — drive operational excellence with a neat, safe work area; ensure appropriate planning and staffing for weekly bakery volumes; maintain inventory accuracy and compliance; execute the merchandise layout plan.
• Be a Talent Ambassador — train the team, identify development needs, and foster career growth; recruit internally and externally as needed; develop processes to meet business needs and collaborate with managers and customers.

• 6 months of experience in a bakery production department or 6 months of experience supervising a team
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to complete required trainings and assessments

• Bakery production experience including decorating
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety)

The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00 per hour. The actual rate will meet or exceed the legal minimum wage. Premiums may apply in certain circumstances.
