Responsibilities
Yokogawa is seeking an Account Manager for the US Southeast Region, specifically focused on customers in Alabama and surrounding states. The role has two main responsibilities:
First, maintain and expand relationships with Strategic Customers (End Users and Tier 2‑3 EPCs) from a corporate perspective. Second, build and leverage relationships across the customer enterprise in functional areas such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Operations, and Executive engagement. The objective is to understand customer business objectives and align them with Yokogawa capabilities and solutions.
In this role, you will lead other Yokogawa key contributors in an overall strategy to implement solutions that contribute to customer business objectives in a meaningful and measurable way. You will increase Yokogawa’s business footprint in your assigned group of accounts and focus on growth and new business development within the territory, acquiring new logo accounts through advanced solutions.
DUTIES/RESULTS- Create and maintain a regional coverage strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Set the strategic direction for identified corporate accounts, including specific objectives and profitability metrics; develop, track, and achieve target KPIs.
- Develop and implement formalized business plans for designated accounts to outline opportunities that increase new business and expansion.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships at multiple organizational levels and locations.
- Build, develop and lead account teams committed to Yokogawa’s vision and values.
- Provide feedback to marketing and support functions regarding market trends and factors affecting sales.
- Initiate proposals and negotiate delivery with customers and internal resources to reach long‑term objectives.
- Conduct accurate and effective forecast and pipeline review meetings with leadership to sustain revenue targets.
- Participate in regular reviews for all assigned accounts to assess progress against commitments, including performance to plan, CRM pipeline size and quality, CRM utilization, and accounts receivable.
- Utilize tools and processes to meet and exceed annual targets within your assigned territory/account base.
- Ensure timely and thorough administration of current account contracts.
- Maximize the YCA product portfolio with assigned customers through a “Demand Creation” process.
- Contribute to the growth of YCA by playing an active and communicative role as a member of the YCA team.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business Management, and 5+ years in industrial automation selling integrated/network‑based process control systems, safety instrumented systems, advanced solutions software applications, and after‑market support services.
This position is best filled by someone located in Alabama to cover and travel throughout the state and additional regional accounts in GA, TN, FL, and MS. The candidate should have a proactive and success‑driven mindset with a firm understanding of Process Automation/Control in continuous and batch manufacturing, and experience with DCS, SIS, PLCs, SCADA, and measurement technologies. Familiarity with customer organizations in refining, petrochemical, oil and gas, water, and power generation is desirable.
