Sales Account Executive – Muscle Shoals, AL
Our Lamar office in Muscle Shoals, Alabama is now hiring a Sales Account Executive (salary + commission) to bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for local brands. Responsibilities- Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
- Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitor’s clients within a specified time frame.
- Exhibit knowledge of local and national competition and cluster accounts for efficient service.
- Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
- Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and research.
- Develop and refine presentation skills, presenting to clients regularly.
- Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
- Perform administrative duties: maintain daily/weekly/monthly sales plans, track production orders, solve client issues, keep organized records.
- Work a minimum of two days a week in the office for meetings and events.
- Comfortable making cold calls and in-person visits.
- Ability to give oral presentations and clearly explain policies and procedures.
- Effective communication with diverse populations, aligning with our inclusivity values.
- Motivation to learn new technology and systems.
- Strong time‑management and self‑organization skills.
- Willingness to immerse yourself in outdoor advertising and sell its benefits to businesses.
- Professional verbal and written communication.
- Ability to perform under fluctuating workloads.

- Resilience in response to rejection.
- Current and valid driver’s license required.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience in outdoor advertising sales preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- CRM experience preferred.
- Monday‑Friday schedule with paid holidays and a combination of in‑office and field work.
- First‑year earning potential of $50,000 - $60,000 (including commissions) dependent on experience and selling ability.
- No commission cap, unlimited earning potential as you grow your book of business.
