Lab Tech

Direct Hire opening for an environmentallab technician for growing laboratory in Dothan, Al that specializes in the analysis of water and wastewater. Currently we have openings for both a part time and full-time lab techs. The hours for this position are Monday
- Friday with a daytime schedule, rotating weekends will be added once fully trained. The part time position will work around 20-25 hours a week and will be scheduled. Can potentially work around school schedule for college science program students.

• Interact with our clients daily when receiving samples.
• Drive in the immediate vicinity of our lab for sample collection and pickup
• Perform various physical, chemical, and microbiological analysis of water, sludge, and soil in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Document analytical findings to accurately report results

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or environmental science strongly preferred
• Recent grads or current science program students are encouraged to apply.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Familiarity in a laboratory setting, including equipment, safety and sanitation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently to perform tasks
