Field Service Technician I

Mobile, AL

Are you a Field Technician, Field Engineer, or Service Technician? Do you want to start a career handling technical maintenance in a variety of retail settings? NCR Voyix is looking for Field Service Technicians. Our Field Services Team creates value for our customers by delivering solutions that build long‑term relationships. Acting as a first line response, you will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging manner and focus on finding the right solution.

You will organize and triage customer issues, and handle problems before they start. Formal training (provided through NCR Voyix) will empower you to give customers what they need when they need it. Our virtual and hands‑on classroom training enables fast learning and creates an environment where you can stretch yourself and make an impact.

Hourly pay range: $18.00 to $20.00, based on location and experience levels. Overtime is paid at time and a half. 7 paid holidays and 6 paid floating holidays. Paid vacation – up to 80 hours in the first year. 401K savings and retirement plan. Company‑provided vehicle (usage only). Medical insurance is available immediately.

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems within an assigned territory.
• Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls.

• Local candidate to a specific geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements.
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged travel with driving for several hours per day.
• Rotating and weekend shifts, flexible shift work within set teams (morning, afternoon, and evening start times, including some holidays).
• Carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance, up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small‑scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.
• A+ Certification, CompTIA N+, or other relevant certifications.
• One or more years of related experience.
