Installation and Service Technician

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Installation and Service Technician. As a key part of the team, the technician works in retail stores to install and repair Inventory Control, RFID, and Video equipment.

• Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail products and equipment at customer sites.
• Keep track of your work orders via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized.
• Maintain and manage an accurate parts inventory at levels that insure a first‑time fix.
• Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly.
• Keep your manager informed about customer satisfaction, potential sales opportunities, or recurring problems.
• Perform other tasks as required.

• High School Diploma or GED; 2‑year associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or equivalent technical military education.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• 3 years of prior work experience in a related field.
• Completed basic EAS and Video training and certifications.
• General knowledge of electronics.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 pounds and working in unusual positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet, and working within ducts or crawl spaces.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and independent work skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and scope documents.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
• State license as required for all pertinent states (state dependent).
• Preferred:
  Certified in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced by Retail;
  Network Certification (full competency in required networking, networking fundamentals).
• Preferred:
  Ability to mentor and train others; perform service on more complete integrated solutions.

• Hourly rate between $25.19 and $34.66, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
