Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLLWhat this job involves
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), which includes belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
- Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49lbs, stand, walk, and shift for up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Travel up to 20% of the time as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, or areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards as per OEM and related regulations.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20pounds, occasionally up to 49pounds. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedals, and wrist motion. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot or cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long periods or on wet or uneven surfaces.
Compensation & BenefitsEstimated compensation: 26.00–26.46
USD per year. Final compensation is determined by qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
