- Graduation from a standard senior high school, or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program in electrical work and a minimum of one year journeyman level electrical experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
- Special Requirements:
Must possess a Journeyman Electrician certificate from the Board of Electrical Examiners;
Mobile Area Water and Sewer System requires a Master Electrician certificate. Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence. May be required to possess a commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, if applicable.
