HVAC Service Technician

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician in Dothan, Alabama. We are looking for a dependable technician who can work proficiently and independently while delivering professional service to residential and light-commercial customers.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light-commercial HVAC systems
• Work independently and complete assigned service calls efficiently
• Service split systems, heat pumps, packaged units, gas furnaces, and ductless mini-splits
• Troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems, controls, thermostats, and control boards
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
• Diagnose compressors, motors, capacitors, contractors, relays, metering devices, and other system components
• Check refrigerant pressures, superheat, subcooling, airflow, and electrical readings
• Clearly explain system problems and recommended repairs to customers
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the office
• Keep company vehicles, equipment, and work areas clean and organized

Applicants must own and maintain the basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment needed to perform HVAC service work, including gauges, a multimeter, and standard HVAC hand tools. The company will provide specialty tools as needed.

• Previous hands-on HVAC service and troubleshooting experience required
• Must be able to diagnose and repair systems without constant supervision
• Proficiency in low-voltage controls and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and use HVAC diagnostic equipment
• Working knowledge of residential and light-commercial HVAC systems
• EPA certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and customer-focused
• Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment screening
