Responsibilities- Promote and embody LifeSTEPS workplace values of integrity, innovation, empowerment, respect, and personal growth.
- Assess participants to identify needs in areas such as personal/family adjustment, finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical/mental health.
- Coordinate and tailor services to meet identified needs.
- Be physically present at each assigned property as scheduled and spend the required contracted hours.
- Assist participants individually, with family, or in small groups regarding plans to meet needs and mobilize inner capacities and resources to improve social and economic functioning.
- Advocate and refer participants to community resources, human services, and other organizations as needed.
- Assist in developing auxiliary services to help applicants become job-ready.
- Instruct applicants in resume writing, job search, and interviewing techniques.
- Compile records and prepare reports.
- Complete all administrative assignments, including timely data entry in multiple databases.
- Review service plans and perform follow-ups to determine the quantity and quality of services provided and the status of participant cases.
- Access and record participant and community resource information.
- Secure supplementary information such as employment, medical records, or school reports as needed.
- Study and assess the strength and weakness of existing resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar environment providing social services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid California driving license and reliable, insured transportation.
