CDL Dispatch​/Transfer Driver

Four Star Freightliner is on the lookout for a skilled Dispatch/Transfer Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be shuttling trucks between our locations or to customer terminals. We offer flexible scheduling and mostly same-day shuttle runs but some overnight.

• We're seeking candidates with a positive, can-do attitude, an excellent driving record, and a Class A or B CDL.
• The number of hours will vary but will workday shifts throughout the week - but we are looking for someone who is flexible to work as needed.

• Safely pick up and deliver customer units to and from our Service Department.
• Shuttle Class 6-8 trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships or customer sites across AL, FL & GA.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively and delivering necessary paperwork, documentation, or information regarding work performed or any special accommodations.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable, adhering to company standards.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet insurance requirements.
• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Proven knowledge of commercial vehicle equipment and operating systems.
• Understanding of federal and state regulations regarding operating trucks.
• Resourceful, collaborative team player with the ability to also thrive independently.
• Safety minded.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
