The Ramp Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the unloading and loading of luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, and for driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles. The position requires heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.
Responsibilities- Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp agent resources as needed.
- Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft.
- Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations.
- Act as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees.
- Possibly interview, hire, and train employees; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems related to company policy violations.
- Complete shift reports and sign timecards.
- Assist in preparing performance evaluation forms.
You will have a responsibility and duty to take reasonable care of the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. Qualifications- Prior ramp/airline experience required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and all pre‑employment testing.
- Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs repetitively.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal.
- Driver's license.
- Employee badge.
