Senior Education Support Officer - Specialist Provision Centre - University College Isle of Man

This role is term time, which means that the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year.

Please note that the full time equivalent for this position is 37 hours, so roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part time. The gross annual salary advertised will be reduced based on the part time hours.

Join our Specialist Provision Centre (SPC) team as a Senior Education Support Officer, supporting children and young people with autism and learning challenges to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills. Working one-to-one and in small groups, you'll help learners overcome barriers to education through personalised learning plans, life skills development, and engaging offsite activities in a positive, inclusive environment.

Working under the guidance of the SPC Manager, teaching staff, and Assistant Programme Manager, you'll provide tailored support to meet individual needs, including personal and medical care. Based at UCM, the wider school environment, and community sites across the Island, this role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and committed to helping every learner succeed.
