Experienced Automotive Service Writer

Woody Folsom CDJR Douglas is seeking an EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER to join our team in Douglas, GA. In this role, you will be the vital link between our customers and the service department, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service experiences. You will be responsible for managing service appointments, estimating repair costs, and coordinating with technicians to deliver timely and accurate vehicle maintenance and repair services.

• Greet and assist customers by understanding their automotive service needs.
• Write detailed service orders, including accurate descriptions of repairs and maintenance required.
• Provide cost estimates and explain repairs and services to customers clearly.
• Coordinate with service technicians to authorize service and ensure efficient workflow.
• Manage scheduling and follow-up with customers regarding service status and completed repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and vehicle repair history.
• Promote additional services and parts sales while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

• Proven experience as an automotive service writer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive terminology and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency with automotive service software and general computer skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
