Job Summary
South Georgia State College's School of Business and Professional Studies is seeking part‑time faculty to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate service to the College, academic achievement, professional growth and development, and course assessment. Teaching assignments may be at any SGSC campus, off‑campus, day, evenings, weekends, or online.
Responsibilities- Meet for online synchronous or asynchronous classes at designated times and durations.
- Provide a website syllabus, a class syllabus, and a CV per faculty handbook guidelines at the beginning of each course.
- Stay current in the teaching discipline(s) and pedagogy.
- Submit proof rosters and grades in Banner by the assigned deadlines; record daily attendance per institutional policy.
- Maintain adequate records of student progress including posting mid‑term grades in Banner.
- Submit assessment data to the Assessment Coordinator at the end of each semester by the required deadline.
- Be available for office hours outside of class.
- Attend part‑time faculty/supervision meetings.
- Travel to all SGSC campuses and sites as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Completion of a master’s degree plus 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Ability to engage students in higher‑order learning.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
- Ability to align instruction with student learning outcomes.
- Adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
- Mastery of the teaching discipline.
- Technology skills and good interpersonal skills.
- Doctorate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Financial Literacy, Accounting, Leadership, Management, Organizational Management/Behavior, or related fields.

Performance contingent upon successful completion of a background check and proof of eligibility for employment. Position may require a credit check if using PCard or working with cash.
The position may require travel up to 24% of the time and is not supervisory, carries no financial responsibilities, is not a position of trust, and does not require a purchasing card.
