The primary duty of a Part-time Faculty member is teaching. This position involves teaching 3-6 credit hours per semester in Mathematics.

• Meet each class as scheduled at the designated time and place and for the designated length of time.
• Maintain office hours for student consultation appropriate to the time and delivery method of the assigned courses.
• Provide each student with a syllabus at the beginning of each course following the faculty handbook guidelines.
• Stay current in the teaching discipline(s) and the pedagogy of that discipline.
• Submit correct proof rosters and grades in Banner by the assigned deadlines; record daily attendance per institutional policy.
• Submit assessment data to the discipline committee chair in a timely manner.

Completion of a Master's Degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the Mathematics discipline.

Two years of Mathematics teaching experience.

Doctorate Degree in Mathematics.

Three years of Mathematics teaching experience.

Part-time faculty are compensated according to the institution's established adjunct instructional pay structure.

Adherence to institutional policies and procedures.

• Mastery of the teaching discipline.

The position requires completion of SGSC annual compliance training courses such as State Business Transactions, Drug free Workplace, Anti-Harassment Policy, Introduction to Information Security, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Policy, USG Ethics Policy, Conflict of Interests/Outside Activities Policy, Leave Procedures for Faculty and Staff, Georgia Open Records Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Contracts 101. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and demonstrating eligibility for employment.

The position may require a credit check if using PCard or working with cash.
