Part-Time Faculty For Bachelor Of Science In Management Program
South Georgia State College's School of Business and Professional Studies is seeking applications for part-time faculty to teach in the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate success in some or all of these areas: service to the college, academic achievement, professional growth and development, and course assessment. Teaching assignments may be assigned to any SGSC campus, off-campus, day, evenings, weekends, or online.
Responsibilities include meeting class schedules, providing syllabi, staying current in teaching disciplines, submitting correct proof rosters and grades, maintaining records of student progress, submitting assessment data, being available for office hours and meetings, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications include the completion of a master's degree plus 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline, demonstrated excellence in teaching, technology skills, and good interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include a doctorate degree in the field of business administration, financial literacy, accounting, leadership, management, organizational management/behavior, etc., and three years of teaching experience.
Required documents to attach include a reference letter, transcripts, and a list of references.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include engaging students in higher order learning, effective communication in written and oral forms, aligning instruction with student learning outcomes, adhering to institutional policies and procedures, and mastery of the teaching discipline.
