Clinical Education Assistant
Under the direction of the Clinical Educator, assists in planning and carrying out system wide education services and programs. Ensures the tracking of resource allocation, such as class materials. Maintains class attendance documentation and records. Assists with hospital-wide DNV compliance.
The evaluation is to ensure the efficiency of aspects of the Education department.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Reads and understands the English language.
- Ability to think critically and analytically with little or no supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in situations of high stress and conflict and communicate goals and outcomes.
- Ability to process information and prioritize.
- Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn, adapt, and change as required by the job functions.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of material and information accessed and reviewed.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to move freely, reach, bend, and complete light lifting.
- Ability to use good body mechanics while performing daily job functions and ability to follow specific OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to maintain attendance to meet standard job practices.
- Current Georgia Nursing Licensure in good standing with the GA Board of Nursing.
- Willingness to obtain BLS, ACLS and PALS instructor certification.
- Willingness to obtain Crisis Intervention instructor certification.
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to effectively communicate, interact, and work with individuals and groups while building relationships.
- Ability to work with Microsoft 365 such as Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements /Motor Skills
- Light:
Exert up to 20 lb. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lb. of force frequently. - Heavy:
Lifting up to 40 lb. occasionally and up to 20 lb. frequently – mainly mankins and training resources.
- Adolescents 13 - 18 years
- Adults 19 - 70 years
- Geriatrics - 70+ years
