PCC Airfoils, LLC is looking for a co‑op student to work on assignments related to engineering and to contribute to product improvement and project management.
SummaryThe co‑op student will work on job assignments related to their education. These assignments provide an effective learning opportunity and a valuable contribution to PCC.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- The student will apply principles learned in school to aid PCC in analysis, product improvement, and use project management techniques to plan and control projects.
- The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout the co‑op experience.
- Student will attend weekly departmental meetings.
- Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
- Participate on project teams for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications and develop requirements and specifications with team.
- Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
- The student will learn metallurgical analysis techniques and use them to solve process problems.
- The student will also learn super-alloy chemistry and conduct analysis to understand relationships between the chemistry and casting quality.
- Other duties as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Good writing skills and interpersonal skills.
Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace, metallurgical, material science, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
