Complex Environmental Manager
Position responsible for day-to-day operations of the Environmental, Wastewater Treatment, Offal Facility and Water Plant. This includes training, supervision, maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role involves sampling per EPA regulations and ensuring all documentation remains current in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal agencies.
Responsibilities- Manage the Wastewater Department.
- Supervise wastewater personnel.
- Perform required water treatment tests.
- Train personnel in best practices to keep water in compliance with city and state requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Take and submit water samples as required.
- Enforce all safety rules and requirements.
- Supervise cleaning and maintenance of wastewater and offal departments.
- Communicate effectively with regulators regarding permitting, expansion, and non-compliance issues.
- Ensure all facilities obtain and maintain necessary environmental permits.
- Investigate complaints.
- Provide environmental training for staff and division personnel.
- Ensure all facilities have adequate environmental protection systems; supervise design, construction, and startup as required. Collaborate with Division Engineers on design, budgeting, startup, and permitting for projects assigned to them and stay current on changing regulations and technology.
- Participate in the emergency and chemical release reporting and response program.
- Provide reports to management.
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience (experience may be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of education).
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a similar field preferred.
- Proven management skills.
- Must possess a minimum Class III Waste Water License, or have the ability to obtain an appropriate state-certified license within twelve months of employment.
- Experience with environmental engineering.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, wastewater treatment, and air permitting programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Previous experience handling confidential information appropriately.
- Vision, medical, and dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.

- Base salary range of $92,917.00 – $ +/- based on experience.
