Production Supervisor – Protein Conversion

This position is responsible for assuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor ensures all reporting requirements are met for their area of supervision.

• Train and provide an environment for employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance.
• Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to utilize departmental policies effectively and equitably, maintaining standards for safety, quality, and personnel satisfaction.
• Manage employee performance, providing positive and corrective feedback.
• Promote department and company goodwill through proactive communication and employee involvement.
• Investigate, with other departments, areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, providing suggestions.
• Promote safety throughout the area where the crew is working.
• Monitor product for efficiencies and quality.
• Review equipment for proper function and maintain a clean environment.
• Ensure employees are present for work and implement alternate assignments if absent.
• Observe that employees perform duties safely and correctly.
• Report equipment or machinery problems to maintenance.
• Suggest methods to improve production efficiencies and troubleshoot equipment operations.
• Guarantee product meets customer specifications continuously.
• Adjust production based on raw material availability.
• Recommend efficient use of equipment and machinery.
• Wear business casual attire and work first shift (day shift).

• 1 or more years of supervisory experience.
• Previous leadership experience with 20 or more employees.
• Experience in the poultry or food industry or in protein conversion or maintenance preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Capable of independent decision-making.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Ability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends.

High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in a related field preferred.
