The Materials Handler assists in the Materials department with all raw materials and finished products for the plant.

• Read and interpret shipping and receiving operating instructions.
• Unload trucks and check invoices for received parts and products.
• Load outbound trucks, ensuring all shipping documentation is correct and in place.
• Respond to manufacturing requirements.
• Identify parts and products for accurate sorting.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Meet 6S requirements.
• Receive and identify parts and product per O.I.
• Electronically enter data and generate barcode labels to identify materials accurately.
• Use AQCS system and other computer programs, up to and including Microsoft Office.
• Communicate professionally with customers and vendors.

High school education;
Associate’s degree preferred.

Three months OJT training.

Normal initiative and ingenuity.

Normal effort required. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds consistently; higher weights with appropriate lifting devices.

Responsible for self. Ensure shipments meet quality standards. Willing to work daily overtime and weekend overtime as necessary.

Exposed to elements when transferring parts or product to/from plant.

The covers the most significant duties, but does not exclude other assignments requiring equivalent or lesser skills.
