Position: Scale House Operator

Scale House Operator Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Weigh live haul trailers loaded and unloaded
  • Fill out scale tickets with information from the catcher load sheet
  • Write all information on long sheet
  • Copy all information from long sheet to office sheet
  • Weigh RVI trailers
  • Make sure PVP/NON PVP signs are on the trailers
  • Figure head counts for each trailer/farm when finished with the house for that farm
  • Figure yard time and write it on the long sheet
  • Figure DOA’s and weight at the end of the shifts
  • Keep track of USDA PVP sheet
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Must have good organizing, time management, and computer skills. Work effectively individually as well as in a team structured environment
  • Use MTECH system on computer
  • Maintain communication with all involved personnel (Plant and live haul)
