Position: Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant treats both physical and mental conditions through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.

Mid-level can then diagnose the disease and then provide appropriate treatment for the patient.

    • Basic computer literacy

    • Ability to use good body mechanics while performing daily job functions and ability to follow specific OSHA guidelines
    • Ability to maintain attendance to meet standard job practices
  • Education
    • Registered Professional Nurse License and Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program or Graduate of PA Program
  • Licensure
    • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification or PA license
    • Nurse Practitioners License in good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing or PA license in good standing with the Medical Board
    • CPR certification/ACLS and PALS as required for speciality
    • Up to date CME'S
  • Experience
    • Prefer experience within a physician office
  • Essential physical requirements
    • Sedentary:
      Exert up to 10 lb. of force occasionally and/or a minute amount frequently - greater than 75%
  • Other
    • A Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant who has acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice, the characteristics of which would be determined by the context in which s/he is credentialed to practice
