Physician Assistant
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant treats both physical and mental conditions through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Mid-level can then diagnose the disease and then provide appropriate treatment for the patient.

Education
- Registered Professional Nurse License and Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program or Graduate of PA Program
Licensure
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification or PA license
- Nurse Practitioners License in good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing or PA license in good standing with the Medical Board
- CPR certification/ACLS and PALS as required for speciality
- Up to date CME's
Experience
- Prefer experience within a physician office

- A Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant who has acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice, the characteristics of which would be determined by the context in which s/he is credentialed to practice

- Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with co-workers of the medical staff which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral(s).
- Ability to use CPT and ICD-9 coding effectively and appropriately.
- Signs off on all dictation/test ordered as well as ensuring collaborating physician signs as well.
- Assist physician as needed.
- Assist with any nursing duties as needed.
- Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
