Job Summary

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a regional medical center, specializing in neonatal care. This position requires attending deliveries and caring for infants within a dedicated nursery unit, with a focus on providing safe and specialized maternal-infant care.

Job Details
  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of

    Experience:

    BLS, STABLE, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications; at least 2 years of experience in nursery; minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Schedule:

    Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Requirements:
    Candidates must have experience with sick babies and adhere to AWHONN standards for patient ratios. Nursery staff do not float to other units, and they attend every delivery, caring for infants in a separate nursery from the postpartum unit.
  • Additional Information:
    Must be able to follow hospital policies and procedures, including charting with Centricity for charting system purposes and Paragon for medication documentation.
