What you will do
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager.
- Work on an on‑call rotation that includes weekends, holidays, and outside normal workday hours, and respond to emergency or unpredicted situations.
- Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment, both manually and via SCADA automation, and make adjustments as necessary to control operation.
- Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.
- Utilize software programs for work orders and maintain all necessary records.
- Perform general maintenance duties of the plant and other assigned duties.
12:00 am to 12:00 pm. Shift workers will occasionally need to help cover an additional shift. The rotation is:
Week 1 – 2 days on (Mon, Tue), 2 days off (Wed, Thu), 3 days on (Fri, Sat, Sun).
Week 2 – 2 days off (Mon, Tue), 2 days on (Wed, Thu), 3 days off (Fri, Sat, Sun).
- 2+ years’ experience working in a wastewater or water treatment environment.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, plumbing fixtures, or a background in maintenance is highly desirable.
- A valid State of Georgia motor‑vehicle operator’s license.
- Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment and collection systems.
- Thorough knowledge of hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre‑placement physical and drug screen before employment.
